Life has been hectic the past month now that the new trimester has kicked into full gear but fortunately we have longer projects with fewer deadlines. Anyway – here’s a breakdown of what I’ve been up to for the past month.
Watched the entire 7th season of Supernatural over a week before lectures started. I cannot wait until season 8 comes out on DVD because I will not stream it. Kind of a tradition already with my cousins to watch an entire season together.
It snowed. Well, not to the extent that I am used to but it’s been pleasant to have some colder days where the ground has actually been covered by frost and wet snow.
Our programme was introduced to our new localities on campus and I cannot express fully how excited I am to get started with the darkroom and the studios.
My bed looks like this 6 days out of an entire week… Covered by coursework. Oh, and the trusty pink XBox controller for the small snippets of downtime.
Ah yes, Hello! I love that iPhone cover from Topshop.
One has to be creative when the dishes run low and you’re struck by the late-night nibbles.
We have some spectacular views from our lecture rooms.
Went to see Django Unchained. It was amazing. Especially the film version.
My favorite table in the library’s Quiet Section.
Visual research is an important part of my studies.
Edinburgh in the winter/summer sun is absolutely beautiful.
Except when it’s grey and rainy. But you get used to the weather. Quickly too.
Went to see Warm Bodies. It is hilarious.
And we inherited this enlarger. Beautiful piece of photographic equipment. Sadly we do not have access to a darkroom and are unable to build a small one ourselves in the apartment so for now it’s just a fun detail in the flat.
And then I did the best investment in my own, digital kit. My sweet baby that will change the way I take pictures for good.
And my bedroom. Small hiding place from the world outside… With a few, new additions.
This is the amount of bobby pins I had in my hair two days ago to keep my bun up. The pain…
Also, the latest episodes of both Castle and Once Upon a Time were… Wow.
Oh, and I baked Sweet Rolls. These are so good yet so incredibly filling.
Oh, and I fried up a steak which was money on food well spent.
And finally prepared myself for the week before Valentine’s Day… Don’t get me wrong. I’m a romantic person but it’s so much.
That’s what I’ve been up to for the past month or so.
