At Dove, we are committed to creating a world where beauty is a source of confidence, not anxiety. So, we decided to conduct a compelling social experiment that explores how women view their own beauty in contrast to what others see.
I’ve been a bit skeptic about Dove’s ad campaigns for a long time but for the first time I feel this one really speaks to all of their consumers. It is a wonderfully poignant campaign and makes you think of the way you perceive yourself and how others perceive you. I can admit that I am my own worst enemy and critic, a perception of self I assume I share with many other women and men. So yes, this ad actually speaks to me personally.
